the guide

Every rule, with its number.

These are the rules of the contract itself, not a summary of intentions. Times are measured from the season start.

Seeds

2,500 seeds, each an ERC-721 token with the symbol SEED. Minting is free: you pay only gas, and each wallet can mint two in all.

Minting closes on day 30 of the season, together with planting, or earlier if all 2,500 are minted.

The season

The owner schedules the season start once, between 1 and 60 days ahead. If nobody has scheduled it, minting the 2,500th seed schedules it 24 hours later. If 60 days pass after deployment with no season, anyone may schedule one, exactly 24 hours ahead. Nobody can move it after that.

Planting

A seed is planted (sown) by its first watering, from the season start until day 30. Only the holder can plant it; a gardener cannot.

A seed that is never planted never dies. After day 30 an unplanted seed can never be planted and stays a seed forever.

Life

Each watering gives the plant 72 hours from that moment. At a third of its life (24 hours) it withers and its art pales. At two thirds (48 hours) it wilts. When the time runs out it dies.

Death is a time, not a transaction. Nobody reaps a plant and nobody can save it after its second has passed: watering a dead plant is refused.

The drought

From day 30 each watering grants one second less for every 24 seconds of drought: one hour less per day. Day 31 grants 71 hours, day 50 grants 52, day 79 grants 23, day 100 grants about 2.

Watering stops for good exactly 101 days after the start. The last watering second grants 1 hour and 1 second, so the last plant dies by 1 hour and 1 second after watering stops.

Spirits

When a plant dies its Spirit is revealed. A plant still alive when watering closes is Mythic. Every other Spirit's rarity is the share of the field still alive at the start of the hour it died, itself included:

alive at the start of the death hourrarity
5% of the field or lessLegendary
15% or lessRare
40% or lessUncommon
more than 40%Common
still alive when watering closesMythic

The field is every seed sown before that hour. Place is 1 plus the plants that died in earlier hours, so plants that die in the same hour share a place. A Spirit is final the moment it appears.

Growth

The plant grows with its counted waterings: a sprout at 1, a sapling at 3, a young tree at 7, a bonsai in blossom at 15. A watering counts toward growth only from the 12th season hour after the last counted one (11 h 0 m 1 s at the least); it always resets the 72 hour clock. Withered plants lose colour, wilted ones droop.

Gardener

A holder can name one address that may water every plant the holder has planted, and remove it again. A gardener cannot plant a seed. The right belongs to the holder, not the seed: sell a plant and your gardener can no longer water it.

Wallet pass

Each token points to an ERC-8426 pass manifest for Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. The pass server checks ownership on every request, so a forwarded pass never carries the plant with it. Until the pass server is live the site says so instead of showing a button.

Signals

Withering, wilting and death happen without a transaction. So the first watering in each new hour of the season tells marketplaces and pass servers to refresh every token, and anyone may call reveal(ids) to signal chosen tokens. It changes nothing on chain.

$POCKET

1,000,000,000 POCKET, 18 decimals, minted once and put entirely into one Uniswap v4 pool against ETH, opening at about 1 ETH fully diluted. No tax, no owner, no further mint. The LP NFT is held by the owner.

Every swap pays 1% of its ETH side to the pool's hook: half to the owner, half to the Spirit Pot. Buy and sell on the Trade page; the Uniswap app cannot route this pool.

Watering with a buy

A buy can carry up to ten seed ids. The hook then waters them for the buyer under the same rules as a normal watering: only plants you hold or garden, only living ones, never after watering closes. A buy never plants a seed: plant yours on My pocket first. A refused watering never stops the buy; the page tells you why it was skipped. The buy needs enough gas for the watering, which a wallet's own estimate includes.

The Spirit Pot

After the last death anyone finalizes the pot, which adds up every Spirit's weight: Common 1, Uncommon 2, Rare 4, Legendary 8, Mythic 16. From then on every wei the pot has ever received or will receive is shared by weight. A Spirit's holder claims its share at any time, as often as later fees keep arriving. A seed never planted has no weight.

The house

The 5% ERC-2981 royalty and half of every pool fee go to the owner, who holds the pool's LP NFT. The owner schedules the season once, binds the hook once and sets the pass server address. The owner cannot touch a plant, a clock, a rarity or the pot.

Multiply by the gas price your wallet shows. A batch is cheaper per plant: "Water all due" on My pocket sends one transaction for up to 200 plants and never includes unplanted seeds.

What Pocket does not promise.

Mythic is alive at the end

A Mythic is a plant still alive when watering closes, 101 days after the start. Any watering in roughly the last hour before that qualifies. A gardener bot can keep a plant alive to the end without a human, in about 112 waterings from day 0, so the number of Mythics is the number of plants kept alive to the end, not a fixed number.

Mythics can close the top

Every Mythic is also alive in every earlier hour. Once Mythics are more than 5% of the field, nobody can be Legendary; over 15%, nobody can be Rare; over 40%, nobody can be Uncommon.

The field can grow

Until day 30 a holder can still plant seeds, which enlarges the field for plants dying in later hours and changes their share.

Watering costs gas

Every watering is an Ethereum transaction: about 38k to 80k gas for one plant, about 12k to 13.4k for each further plant in a batch. The drought shortens each watering: under a day from day 79, about two hours on day 100, one hour at the very end.

The owner holds the liquidity

All of the pool's liquidity sits in one position whose LP NFT the owner holds. The owner can withdraw it. The pot and the fees do not depend on it, the price does.

Free mints can be farmed

Two seeds per wallet raises the cost of farming many wallets; it does not stop it.

Smart accounts do not water

The hook waters for the account that started the transaction. A buy sent through a smart account, a bundler or a relayer waters nothing; the page says so when it happens.
